Steve Winwood 0- właśc. Steve Lawrence Winwood (ur. 12.05.1948 w Handsworth, Birmingham, Anglii) to profesjonalny muzyk oraz autor tekstów, który obejmuje style blue- eyed soul, R'n'B, blues rock oraz pop rock. Choć głównie keyboardz- oraz wokalista znany z charakterystycznego, pełen soul'u, wysokiego głosu.

Również profesjonalnie gra na innych instrumentach jak chociażby perkusji, mandolinie, gitarach, basach oraz saksofonie.

Był integralnym członkiem trzech znaczących zespołów lat 60- oraz 70- ych; The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic oraz Blind Faith. W latach 80- ych jego solowa kariera zaczęła owocować i miał kilka hitowych singli jak chociażby "While You See A Chance" pochodzącego z albumu pt. "Arc Of A Diver" oraz "Valery" ('82) (stał się przebojem gdy został ponownie wydany wraz z przeróbką kompilacji z '87 roku pt. "Chronicles") pochodzącego z albumu pt. "Talking Back To The Night". "Back In The High Life", "The Finer Things" oraz "Higher Love" znajdujący się na albumie pt. "Back In The High Life", który uplasował się na miejscu #1 listy przebojów w Stanach Zjednoczonych "Billboard Hot 100"  wyznaczył szczyt jego kariery. Utworem pt. "Roll With It" ('88) pochodzącym z albumu o tym samym tytule uplasował się na miejscu #1 list "Billboard Hot 100", a "Holding On" na #11. Gdy na początku lat 80- ych jego przebojowe single zostały zaniechane do 2008 roku kontynuował wydawanie albumów do momentu aż album pt. "Nine Lines" został wydany.

15.03.2004 roku został wprowadzony do Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame jako członek Traffic. 29.11.2005 roku został uhonorowany jako ikona BMI w corocznej gali odbywającej się w Londynie za "trwały wpływ na pokolenia twórców muzyki". 12.11.2008 roku "Rolling Stone" uplasowało go na miejscu #33 swojej listy pt. "100 Najświetniejszych Piosenkarzy Wszechczasów". Wygrał dwie statuetki Grammy. W '88 oraz '89 roku był nominowany do nagrody Brit Award w kategori "najlepszy brytyjski męski wykonawca". 19.05.2011 roku od British Academy Of Songwriters Composers & Authors otrzymał nagrodę Ivor Novello w kategorii wyróżniającą się kolekcję utworów.
